Many of us voted for de la Rúa knowing he was not up to the task of undoing
the damage wrought by the previous lot. And we did it even after having
vowed never to vote Radical again after the Alfonsín debacle. Do you
remember 1989? Do you remember hyperinflation? Or perhaps it didn't affect
everyone to the same extent. In my case it was pretty grim, although at that
time it was still possible to find work, never mind how modestly paid.
